Privacy Policy

Pandecho for iPhone, Pandecho for Android and Pandecho for desktop. Last updated 12 October 2026.

Pandecho does not collect your meetings. Your audio recordings, transcripts and notes are created and stored on your own device. They are never uploaded to us, and we cannot read them.

What stays on your device

Recording, transcription and note generation all run locally on your device: on iPhone with Apple's on-device speech recognition and Apple Intelligence, and on Android with speech and notes models the app downloads once and then runs on the phone. The following never leave your device and are never sent to Pandecho:

Deleting a meeting in the app deletes it from your device. Deleting the app removes all of it.

What we do receive

We receive only the following, and only in these situations:

Website cookies and analytics

This applies to the pandecho.com website only, not the Pandecho apps. With your consent, the website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it, for example which pages are visited and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga) and Google processes the data on our behalf. These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner; if you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. We do not use advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

Microphone and speech recognition

Pandecho asks for microphone access so it can record a meeting. On iPhone it also asks for speech recognition access so it can turn that recording into a transcript. On both platforms transcription is performed on your device. Audio is not sent to Apple, Google or us for recognition.

Pandecho records the microphone only. Neither iPhone nor Android lets apps capture other apps' audio, so Pandecho records what the microphone hears, in person or on speakerphone. On Android, a notification stays visible while a recording is in progress.

Sharing

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. If you use the share or export feature, you choose where that note goes; that transfer is between you and the destination you pick.

Recording other people

Laws about recording conversations differ by country and state. You are responsible for obtaining consent from the people in your meetings where that is required.

Children

Pandecho is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Because your meeting content never reaches us, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf; it is already entirely in your hands. For the limited licensing information described above, you can ask us to delete it by emailing us, subject to our need to keep records of valid purchases.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
