Connect your meetings to Claude and Codex with MCP

By Kamal Kannan Sankarraj ยท July 1, 2026 ยท 5 min read

Your meetings hold a lot of useful context: what was decided, who owns what, what the open questions are. Normally that context dies in a doc. With an MCP server, your notes become something your AI agents can read and act on. Here is how to wire Pandecho's meetings into Claude and Codex.

What MCP is, quickly

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for AI tools to connect to outside sources of data and actions. An app exposes an MCP server, and any MCP client, like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Codex, can connect to it and use what it offers. Pandecho ships a meeting-notes MCP server, so your past meetings are available to those agents.

Why your meetings should be agent context

Once an agent can read your meetings, a few things get much easier:

The notes stay on your machine. The agent reads them locally through the MCP server, which is why this is comfortable to do even with sensitive meetings.

Setting it up with Claude

  1. Install Pandecho and record at least one meeting so there is something to read.
  2. Enable Pandecho's MCP server from the app. See the setup guide for the exact config.
  3. Add it to your MCP client. In Claude Desktop or Claude Code, register the Pandecho server in your MCP settings.
  4. Ask a question that needs your meetings, and the agent will pull from your notes.

Codex and other MCP-capable agents connect the same way, since MCP is a shared standard.

Example prompts to try

A note on privacy

This does not send your meetings to the cloud. Pandecho keeps the notes on your device, and the MCP server hands them to the agent you run. If that agent is a cloud model, only the specific text you ask about is part of the conversation, the same as if you had pasted it in yourself, except you do not have to.
