Control automatic meeting detection

Pandecho watches for apps using your microphone and starts taking notes when a meeting begins. Every part of that is under your control: exclude apps that aren't meetings, choose auto-record or ask-first, or turn detection off entirely.

When an app starts using your microphone, Pandecho treats it as a possible meeting and (by default) starts recording with a one-minute undo. That is perfect for Zoom or Google Meet, but not for apps that use the mic without being a meeting — dictation tools, voice typing, audio editors, screen recorders. For those, add the app to the exclusion list once and Pandecho will ignore it forever.

In the app

1. Open Settings → Notifications → Microphone detection.
2. To stop a specific app (for example a dictation app) from triggering Pandecho, use Exclude apps from detection and add it to the list. You can also click Ignore right on the detection notification when it appears.
3. Prefer to be asked before recording starts? Switch off Start recording automatically — Pandecho will show an "Are you in a meeting?" prompt instead.
4. Tune Detection delay to control how long the mic must be active before Pandecho reacts.
5. Turn off Microphone detection entirely if you only want manual or calendar-scheduled recordings.
